Andy Larson been in the dental lab since 1999 and has had many accomplishments in the dental field. He graduated from two military dental programs at the Naval School of Health Sciences, Dental Assisting class "A" School and Dental Lab Technologies class "C" School while serving in the U.S Navy.
Andy has also been mentored by and done work for some of the top ceramists and dental labs in the nation such as Lee Lucas, CDT, at the Naval Dental Center Northwest Bangor Lab, Bremerton WA, David Anderson, Modern Dimensions Dental Studio, Salt Lake City, Utah and Aaron Pierce, First Impressions Dental Lab, Sandy Utah.
With the down turn in the economy, there has been a slow down in many industries. Dentistry has been no exception, especially cosmetic dentistry. There have been many advances and much focus on the cosmetic end of dentistry since the beginning of 2000.
Recently the cosmetic end has slowed down as people are less willing to spend money on these types of services. The focus now seems to be shifting toward patients that NEED crowns. Getting their crowns at cheaper prices with the highest quality available, while still possessing the ability to create nice cosmetic work.
In the dental lab industry it seems there are mainly two kinds of labs; big production and smaller more customized labs.
